Wasn’t supposed to be a chew-toy

Fixed it with a FIXIT
Who repaired it?

i_did

How long did the repair take?

5 minutes

How much did it cost?

€2.50

How was the object repaired?

The FixIt is softened in hot water (60 C) which I checked with a yogurt thermometer. After 1 minute it is mouldable, so I smushed it around into a handle-ish shape and let it reharden as it cooled. This closed the gap the dog had chewed through the handle, restoring the grip for when he gets over-excited and takes off.

Why did you repair the object?

Because it was broken! :D

Because it was minor damage that made it inconvenient to use, and it was easily repaired restoring its lifespan

What would be important to you to be included in a Repair Declaration for Ireland?

To support repair shops with reduced tax obligations to keep the cost to the user down and incentivise the repair over the replacement. It takes a good mechanic to keep an old car going; this person should be celebrated
