Repaired by applying plastic ties around the wooden handle which had cracked and come away from the blade.
However am aware that plastic is not the optimum material to use but they were left over from many years ago!- Why did you repair the object?
The knife is part of a set received as a wedding present over 35 years ago.......very sentimental.
- What would be important to you to be included in a Repair Declaration for Ireland?
Manufacturers should be impelled to provide the opportunity for the purchase of/or replacement of parts concerning their goods should they 'break down'. Also they should proper service to their customers together with proper contact details, not phone lines that just ring out.
Its a sin - to have to always bin - items that could still win!!
