Over a few months I picked up several Dyson vacuums in the recycling. Faults were: Blocked (washable) filter, Plug-top fuse gone.
- Why did you repair the object?
Dyson are very repairable but were missing some bits. At the time Dyson were offering a parts and labour flat fee for €70 so I got several quite expensive parts replaced and had new Dysons.
- What would be important to you to be included in a Repair Declaration for Ireland?
Domestic Appliances should carry a Repair Index that indicates how easily the device can be worked on, parts available etc. Items that perform poorly should be taxed accordingly.
