Vintage Amp Repair and Care with Bob Leadbeater

We are delighted to welcome a longtime friend and collaborator of Repair Acts, Bob Leadbeater to the Fleadh Cheoil Westmeath. The largest annual celebration of Irish music, language, song and dance, the Fleadh attracts some 500,000 visitors. In partnership with Westmeath County Council, we will be participating in the Fleadh and running a series of repair based workshops at the “Green Tent” in Mullingar Park.

Bob Leadbeater is an audio electronics engineer specialising in the repair, maintenance and renovation of vintage valve electronic equipment. For the last three years, Bob has been working as the technical engineer at Real World Studios, UK. Real World Studios was established by the musician, singer, songwriter, record producer and activist, Peter Gabriel of Genesis and World of Music, Arts and Dance (Womad) fame. Bob now spends his time maintaining vintage analogue recording equipment of all varieties at the studio. 

For the Fleadh, Bob will be sharing his tips on vintage amp repair as well as providing diagnostic support and basic care.

The workshop is free to attend and open to a general public, meaning you do not need ticket to the Fleadh to attend. The workshop take place in the Westmeath County Council “Green Tent” in Mullingar Park by Mullingar, Swimming Pool.
