Storytelling and Declaration Workshop with Jack Lynch

Join us together with local groups from across Mullingar to gather stories and memories of local repair people, shops and services. Whether you’ve got a story about your DIY repair adventures, the tips your granny gave to keep something good, or the trouble you went through to get your favourite boots restored, we want to hear about it and exchange tales together, facilitated by our storyteller Jack Lynch. Come along with your family, friends and local groups. All stories gathered will be uploaded to our website and will help build the “People Archive of Everyday Repair”. We will also be brainstorming how we can make Ireland more repair minded with ideas gathered contributing to our “Repair Declaration”. This event is free of charge. This workshop will be taking place at the Aras an Mhuilinn, a new centre for Irish music, song, dance, and the Irish language.
